A tireless clue-giver for color-guessing nights. The app hides a color, gives a one-word cue, then a two-word cue — and everybody guesses. Nobody has to sit out giving clues.
Each round the app secretly picks a color from the grid and gives a one-word cue. Taking turns, every player taps the square they think it is and locks it in.
Then a two-word cue appears and everyone places a second marker (the turn order is reversed). Two players can't share a square.
Reveal: a marker on the exact square scores 3, one square away (diagonals count) scores 2, two squares away scores 1. Most points after the last round wins.
At the reveal you also see the color the app had in mind for each cue — handy for arguing about whether "smoky plum" was fair.
With the physical board: everyone places cones on the board after each cue, then the app reveals the exact coordinate to center the scoring frame on. Nobody has to be the cue giver.
Board colors: measurements by Alabau-Bosque, Jaén-Lorites et al., Universitat de València (MIT license). Chroma Clues is an unofficial fan companion, not affiliated with the publisher of Hues and Cues.
